Zucchini and cauliflower were somewhat of a hit with the girls... Brynley still seems to like all food. Ryann takes a day to warm up to something - but ate a full container of cauliflower today (day #2). Hadley is a bit bipolar - one day she likes it, the next maybe not, and then maybe she likes it again!
Last weekend Gama and mom spent a few hours each day making up a bunch of baby food - we have squash, sweet potatoes, zucchini, cauliflower, apples, peaches, pears, raspberries, carrots, broccoli and peas! The girls shouldn't go hungry for awhile - although I think I'm going to have to do some more peaches and apples up this weekend! It was our first go around so we really had no idea how much baby food would be made out of say, four apples. Turns out - not so much... well, that's not exactly true - let me amend that to say not so much when you're feeding triplets!
The girls started having three meals a day this week and have really taken to it... They have oatmeal in the morning and either a bottle before or after (depends on what time they got up in the middle of the night and how much they ate then). Then they have a veggie and fruit for lunch - today Ryann ate an entire container of cauliflower and almost an entire container of peaches all herself, guess she was hungry?! They have a small bottle after lunch. Then they've been doing a pretty good job taking a longer nap in the afternoon and they have a bottle upon waking. Then they have some cereal and either a fruit or veggie for dinner... then it's [finally] bedtime. We do kicktime, baths, a bottle, a story, and bed. Whew - full days to say the least! However keeping to this new schedule has seemed to work out okay - we'll see how it goes.
We're interviewing our first nanny tomorrow - would be so nice to get something figured out sooner rather than later....
