Trav has been enjoying some extra quality time with his girls this week - I think the hardest part of his new job is it being 30 miles away, he won't be able to come home for lunch and play with the girls. He'll also most likely be gone in the morning before they get up - meaning the only time he'll have with them (aside from weekends) is in the evening time for an hour or so before they go to bed. We realize that's much more "normal" - but no fun all the same. So... he's really enjoyed playing with the kiddos this week - for the most part! ha!
We even managed a trip to the zoo! Grandpa got back from his trip to Argentina on Wednesday and came over to see his girls (including mom and me) for a couple days. While he was here we decided an outing to the zoo was in order! The girls' first trip to the zoo was successful - we were there for a little over two hours and even had a bottle picnic! I think next summer might be more fun for them, but it was nice to get out for awhile and the zoo is really nice.
As for the girls this week - they seem so much bigger than there were just a couple weeks ago... must be all the food they're eating! We've finished all the 1st Gerber foods and today Gama cooked up a bunch of our own baby food! The girls will get to try zucchini, cauliflower, and broccoli in the days to come. I have to admit, the homemade food is actually pretty tasty - I stole some of the girls' carrots while feeding them lunch! Yummers! We've ordered a couple baby gates and have started covering the outlets - it's just a matter of time til they're really on the move. None of them stay where you put them these days... although none are technically crawling yet!
Now for a quick update on the nanny search... We've officially started our search and are already not enjoying the process. We'd love to find someone who knows someone, but so far, no luck. We're hoping to make more progress this next week - I've contacted a couple individuals for some interviews so we'll see what comes of it... I did ask Ashley to move to Omaha so she could watch the girls - but I don't think she went for it. Anyway - hopefully more to report next time. Below are some pictures from the week!

Erin - I have a good friend who lives in Omaha that I will ask about nannies. She has 6 kids of her own and I would totally trust her opinion of someone. I will get back to you if I hear anything from her. Your girls are darling and are getting so big! I always enjoy your updates! Hope you guys continue to settle well in the new house and with your new jobs!
