Somehow we're going backwards in the sleep department and I cannot figure out why... they're eating more, they're playing more, and yet they're sleeping less??? what the heck?! Let's just say the last few nights haven't been anything to write home about - unless you're writing home to complain. Even Ryann has been getting up - seriously, what has happened to my girls? This morning I told mom that I wanted to trade them in for my girls 3 weeks ago... but maybe tonight will be better?
Big news on the food front - the girls have successfully completed their first veggie: sweet potatoes were a success! While Brynley loved her some sweet potatoes, Hadley's reaction was quite different. She made the "ick" face the whole time the first day she tried it - definitely not a fan. However, day 2 was a vast improvement and day 3 they all gobbled the entire 2 ounces (or something like that) up. For this week we're using store bought veggies... too difficult with the packing/moving process to try our hand at making our own. I'm thinking we'll move on to squash next, but perhaps we should do peas to diversify their color palette? It's something I'm sure they're super concerned about... ha!
The girls went to their developmental pediatric appointment on Friday afternoon and their doctor was extremely pleased with how well they are doing! I could go into (a lot of) details, but basically she confirmed what we already knew... developmentally they are past 4 months (their adjusted age), but not yet to the 6 month mark (their actual age). She was especially amazed at Brynley and her "core strength"... it was an interesting appointment and I'm hoping that we can find something similar in Omaha (though we were told it's unlikely).
Gama and I have survived the last two nights and days without daddy, but are certainly looking forward to his return this evening! Can't believe moving week has arrived... better get back to packing!
