Happy Spring!

I've blinked and another month has almost passed! I can't believe that the girls will be 4 months in just a week! They've done a lot of growing and developing this month - we can't wait to see what next month will bring. We've had quite a few visitors since our last post... Chuck and Lana stopped through on their way back to Iowa - not sure Dallas is exactly en-route from Arizona to Iowa, but we sure loved having them stop by! They were the first "outsiders" the girls have really met. Chuck decided that the girls probably think he's their Grandpa since Grandpa Kim hasn't been here in awhile! However, he'll be visiting soon and should set that straight. Grandma and Papa Miles, as well as Aunt Hilary, were here for Easter - which worked out perfectly since Gama left for Belize on Thursday! The changing of the guard went well and didn't phase the girls too much. In fact, I think they like when we have extra hands on deck... imagine that!
The girls are all cooing and talking - Brynley does the most talking, she's a stitch in the mornings! Ryann is ready for the jumparoo... the girl can't stop kicking! However, she needs to work on holding her head up a little bit more before we try that activity out! Hadley is the closest to rolling over... Gama has been practicing with all the girls (she's sneaky like that) - and Hadley's so close. She has this airplane maneuver down - the girl knows how to work her abs... I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to breathe for a week if I tried lifting my legs that high while on my stomach! We're waiting for them to start belly laughing - they seem so close! In other news - we started Ryann in cloth diapers full time now... so far, so good. We're hoping to get the other two in them in the next couple weeks - they need another pound on them in my opinion to fit the diapers better.
The best 'development' is their sleeping patterns... they're all sleeping a 5-6 hour stretch almost every night! Saying that I've probably jinxed the pattern and we'll be up every three hours tonight - but really, they have gotten so much better! Of course they don't sleep the same 5-6 hour stretch, which means we still get up three plus times a night, but it's so much better than the every three hour routine! In fact, on Saturday night Ryann slept 9 straight ours and Hadley did the same Sunday night - now to get all three of them to sleep that at the same time... I don't think we'd know what to do with ourselves!
Perhaps the sweetest story of the week was with Tehya and Ryann... Ryann had been playing on her new jungle playmat all morning when she fell asleep. Tehya came in from outside, saw her and got super worried... she just stopped, sniffed, and stared at Ryann - who was not moving. We tried to reassure Tehya, telling her Ryann was okay, just sleeping - but her tail tucked and she wouldn't move. It really was pretty sweet. Then - Ryann starting kicking again and Tehya's tail started wagging! She really loves her girls!
In other news... We're putting our house on the market May 1st - good thing our realtor is understanding... can't really reduce a lot of clutter when you have three little ones! Trav has begun looking for a job up in Omaha and we've started looking at houses... we're planning on renting for a year or so - so we can't look too early (most people want immediate occupancy). We're hoping to move in the middle of July - which is right around the corner! Below are some pictures from the last couple weeks... hope you enjoy!

  1. Erin -
I thought you might be moving to Omaha! That is where we live... well we live in Bellevue. I should mention that if you are able to live just outside the city, Bellevue has lots of great FREE activities that you could share with the girls.

    Hope the move goes well!

  2. We've looked at some houses in that area (online anyway). Nice to know someone in the area!
