Babies and me are doing great! I've been trying to pack the calories away as directed - it's possible that I might get used to eating every couple hours! Not sure that's a good thing after the babies arrive and I want the weight gone! Ha!
We took a trip to BuyBuyBaby last Friday night to walk around and begin checking out all we'll need - wow is there a lot of stuff! We have some lists printed (a general baby checklist and a checklist especially for triplets) that we're going to reduce and make our own - before sending them to experts for further narrowing (or expanding)! It seems early to be doing all this, BUT since we have no idea what's to come we're thinking we'd better get a head start. After all, if I go on bed rest early - there's no way I want Travis picking everything out all by himself! Then again... I was way more overwhelmed in the store then him, so maybe that would be a good thing. Definitely something to think about! I will admit, some of the stuff is a lot of fun to look at and pick out - in fact we came to a quick agreement on the bedding we like (after all, we'll get to pick out a couple more sets about 6 months or so after they're born) and the crib style. I take that as a good sign. I picked up a binder for baby-info that we're starting to collect and a notebook (made sure it was very boyish with a football on the cover!) for some of the notes we've been taking and questions we've raised. Figure we'd better start organizing now! Our next doctor's appointment is on Travis' birthday--August 30th! A very fun birthday present in my opinion! For now I've posted below what the babies' have grown this week and what/how they supposedly have developed from www.BabyCenter.com:
Fingerprints have formed on your baby's tiny fingertips, her veins and organs are clearly visible through her still-thin skin, and her body is starting to catch up with her head — which makes up just a third of her body size now. If you're having a girl, she now has more than 2 million eggs in her ovaries. Your baby is almost 3 inches long (the size of a medium shrimp) and weighs nearly an ounce.
